The pioneer of the symphonic metal genre, Therion from Sweden, is coming to China for a second time. They will perform in Guangzhou, Xi'an, Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu on September 5-9.
Founded in 1988 and originally a death metal group, Therion developed into a symphonic metal band by adding orchestral elements such as choirs, classical musicians and even a full orchestra. Taking themes from mythologies and ancient traditions and writings, they have released 14 studio albums so far.
